About Lorraine

Reader. Writer. Dreamer.

I love my family.

Family. Unlike friends, you can’t just pick them off the street. I’m lucky to have a  fabulous family. They might be a little quirky, but they are my backbone. I could not have started my adventure in writing without their encouragement and patience.

I love to read.

Opening a book broadens your world. You meet intriguing people and get lost in their stories. A book challenges you to enter a new world and leave your problems behind.

I love to write.

Creating is fun. I enjoy developing captivating characters with unique shortcomings and unearthing obstacles so they struggle for their happily ever after.

Now that I’m in the over 50 club (well over 50, but still a member), I find less is more. I wish I had practiced that philosophy in my 20s and maybe I wouldn’t have a house full of dust collectors. Now, I love the peace and tranquility of nature. Nothing soothes my soul more than a babbling brook, water flowing over rocks, or waves crashing on the beach. Mother nature is amazing.
